Check out this cool exhibit, the Bubble Extension Colour Visualiser, at the end of your mirror maze adventure! What causes the colours to appear?
A bubble film behaves like a sandwich: it is a layer of water molecules in between two layers of soap molecules. Light waves are reflected by and within the back soap layer, as well as in the front soap layer.
As these reflected light waves overlap, some wavelengths cancel each other out, allowing different coloured light to travel towards our eyes.
Explore the world of mirrors, lights and colours at Professor Crackitt’s Light Fantastic mirror maze! Admission to #ScienceCentreSG is FREE for Singaporeans and PRs on weekdays (excluding school and public holidays). (more…)

Save yourself a plane ticket and see the Northern Lights from Singapore - is that possible?
Yes! Head to #OmniTheatreSG today to catch the latest digital movie, Aurora: Lights of Wonder!
Highly regarded as natural light shows in the sky, this phenomenon happens when charged particles emitted from the sun during a solar flare penetrate the Earth's magnetic shield and collide with atoms and molecules in our atmosphere. This results in countless little bursts of light, called photons, which make up the aurora.

Can you spot the Common Rose in the picture?
