WHEEL, WALK or JOG with us, for a good cause!

HWA will be holding its 33rd ever, annual “Wheel, Walk or Jog” cum Family Carnival, on Saturday, 22 April 2017, from 11am to 7pm, at the Queen Elizabeth Walk, Esplanade Park.

Come join us, at this fundraising event which will be graced by a distinguished Guest-of-Honour.

The event, which will include a Family Carnival commencing at 11am, will be attended by our donors, supporters and well-wishers, along with students and our Members (all of whom are People with Physical Disabilities), also providing another social outreach platform for our fellow Singaporeans with Special Needs.

Our beneficiaries, corporate volunteers, students and members of the public will be walking or jogging with our wheelchair-bound members, to travel along a scenic route covering between 3.5km and 5.0km.

For further enquiries, to register, or also to support and/or partner HWA, for this event, please contact Ms Thevi, from HWA Fundraising Department, at 62543006.

2017 is here at last!!

The Handicaps Welfare Association (HWA) would like to wish a Happy New Year to all its Facebook followers and friends, as well as all prospective new friends!

May the promise of the New Year bring (even more, and greater) abundance, joy and meaning to all of you and your loved ones! Let 2017 realise the fulfilling of all your aspirations, and the filling of your hearts with contentment and peace, to be shared with all those around.

Let us take a moment to also think about, and empathise with, the less fortunate and the needy, including our fellow community members with disability issues, and help them in whichever way we can.

To all our present and future partners, donors, collaborators, well-wishers, Members and Volunteers, do journey on with us, fortHWArd, and continue to give us your valued support. Thank you for all that you've generously made possible in 2016, so that we could continue to do our work for our Association and cause! (more…)
