Gooda morning fellas. Lots of vets suffer from back pains, hernia, pain in your thigh, knees, shin or feet. Long term use of pain killers are not good so what can you do to get pain relief and eventually fix your body?

The sciatica nerves start in your back and extends all the way down to your feet. When your core back muscles get soft they do not support the weight of your body. Gravity is always pulling you down so when your backbone gets COMPRESSED, your sciatica nerves get PINCHED.
There are different sciatica EXERCISES that can bring quick pain relief for your specific pain. The principle is to counter rotate or stretch in the opposite direction to UNCOMPRESS the specific part of your back.

We breathe in air to acquire and absorb OXYGEN into our blood stream. Oxygen gives life to all our cells. We may not always have the luxury to choose the air we breathe. We may live near a busy highway, work in a “sick building”, or travel frequently to cities where air pollution is a constant problem.
After just a few weeks in these polluted cities, the level of lead and other toxic heavy metals in your blood may rise to unhealthy levels. Heavy metal toxicity is a root cause for many serious health conditions. Your body must use good minerals like selenium, zinc, iodine, magnesium and calcium to excrete the heavy metals like lead, mercury or cadmium.
Second is the problem of oxidative stress on our body. Oxygen molecules come in electron pairs that we know as O2 but when O2 is damaged by combustion, it may lose electrons and any unpaired O is now called a FREE RADICAL. Then free radical oxidation or damage to our cells may lead to many chronic health problems. Your body must daily use anti-oxidants like L-Glutathione; the full spectrum of vitamin E, vitamin C or vitamin A to either repair or remove damaged oxygen.
Thirdly poor air quality may lead to lower oxygen levels in our body resulting in increased carbon dioxide levels. Increased CO2 is what really produces an acidic body and compromise our immune system.
The air you breathe is even more important to life than water or food. We may not drink for three days or eat for a week but try not breathing for five minutes? The Basics of Good Health
Your body is an amazing creation of complex living systems and you live in an equally amazing environment of complex systems. The sum of all is one highly integrated eco system of total interdependence. So there is no one thing, one super product, a super food or a magic pill that lets you live a life that is long and full of good health. The basis of a good life is to cover all the bases.
What you think is right may not be good enough. How about leaving it to the experts? It baffles me whenever I see a health professional who themselves are obviously overweight, low on energy, perhaps on blood pressure meds and are themselves in need of better health advise than what they are offering. You owe it to yourself to find out what works and what does not.

Where is the best place to store your supplements?
Supplements should be stored in a cool and dry place below 25C. The temperatures in Singapore these days can sizzle up to 34C so this becomes a problem for storing nutritional supplements at home. The enemy of your supplements is not only heat but humidity. It is also advisable to keep your supplements out of reach of children.
Some parts of the home are especially HOT like near windows, walls that get the afternoon sun, near the cooking stove and the car. Your oils and softgels like Omega 3, CoQ10, MCT, etc can potentially melt. Probiotics will lose potency when exposed to prolonged heat.
Some parts of the home are especially HUMID like in the bathrooms and where you cook or prepare food. The fridge may be cool but it can produce excessive condensation when members of the family continually open the fridge door. This is not ideal for supplements that are powders and cellulose capsules.

Why Alkaline Water will mess you up
Lots of folks are spending thousands of dollars buying artificial alkaline water systems for their homes. Is artificial alkaline water good or bad for you?
Let's check the real science. We have 2 states of Ph in our body - one for our institial blood plasma and another for our digestive tract.
1). Blood Plasma is quite constant around 7.38. Food and water plays NO part in regulating Ph in blood plasma. It is Respiration! ...our Breathing that determines if we become too Acidic or too Alkaline. Shallow breathing can cause the build up of CO2 to create acidiosis and if the body is stressed it can over regulates leading to over alkalosis. Deep breathing increases O2 levels in the blood to make more alkaline. It is important to stay calm and useful do daily deep breathing exercises like in Tai Chi, Yoga, Swimming, Jogging etc. Respiration regulates plasma Ph. The air is free.
2). Our digestive tract alternates between alkaline in the mouth, highly acidic in the stomach, slightly alkaline in the small intestines and slightly acidic for the large intestines/colon. The alternate Ph of the digestive tract is necessary for various types of flora to thrive in each part of the tract. Using alkaline water system created artificially by electrolysis can be harmful in the long term and over alkalise the alternate Ph killing off flora. The stomach needs sufficient acid to chop down food which are long chain carbons into short. So it actually helps to consume something acidic like vinegar or lime juice during your meal.
Your body already has a PH Buffer System to regulate PH. If you interfere with too much artificially created alkaline water then you will exhaust your PH Buffer System and start to suffer chronic fatigue. I see this lots of time in my patients who have bought these unnecessary and expensive water systems. There are other harmful effects of drinking artificial alkaline water made by electrolysis and that is the build up of toxic ozone when the H2O separates from the unstable -H ions during the Corona Discharge. What you eat has everything to do with your health. Food must supply you with enough nutrients to make energy, enzymes, hormones and regenerate cells. Sickness happens when your body does not have the nutrients to keep up with your daily demands. Most sickness has to do with your food and lifestyle.
In a perfect world the food you eat every day would be clean, organic and nutritious. Otherwise supplementation is necessary to overcome the great deficiencies of mass produced foods. A young man diagnosed with stomach cancer came to see me. Despite having removed half his stomach and battling for three years, the cancer has unfortunately spread to the other organs. I asked him if he has heard of the bacteria called Helicobactor pylori and if he ate preserved foods. He answered that he has not heard of the H. pylori bacteria and his wife remarked that he loves preserved foods.
Unhygienic preparation of foods especially preserved vegetables, preserved fruits and preserved salted meats is a common source for H. pylori infection. Asians like Chinese, Japanese and Vietnamese have an average incidence of 75% for H. Pylori infection leading to higher incidence of stomach ulcers, stomach and bladder cancers.
Another lady who came to see me two years ago with late stage stomach cancer is today well and staying cancer free. Is cholesterol really the "bad boy" of our health? Has the system over blown the fear for cholesterol in order to drive up sales for anti-cholesterol drugs called statins?

Cholesterol is made by the liver and is important for making hormones in our body. Hormones are important messengers that direct the many bodily functions.
What about the PLAGUE that hardens our blood vessels and heart walls? Plague happens when cholesterol is DAMAGED or OXIDISED by chemical pollutants that enter our blood stream. Cholesterol is harmless until it is damaged.
So it is the stuff that DAMAGES cholesterol that we should be avoiding. What damages or oxidises cholesterol are air pollutants, food preservatives, processed foods, cigarette smoke, trans-fats, etc. Thats why it is so important to live clean and eat clean.
