澳洲嘅紅鼻兒童慈善機構建議家長遵照以下安全檢查表,小心看待小朋友睡眠:
- 確保嬰兒睡在他們的背上
- 把寶寶的頭和麵露出來
- 嬰兒在出生前後,必須於無煙環境中成長
- 不論夜晚和白天都保持寶寶在安全的睡眠環境中
- 母乳喂哺
- 寶寶睡在父母房間裡的,一張床上,可以隨時照顧到
- 一旦他們可以自己翻身,就不要包緊孩子

對於孩子,睡覺也可能是危險的事情。 所以,父母需要隨時照顧好他們。

Children’s charity, Red Nose in Australia, recommends that parents follow this safety checklist:
-Ensure babies are sleeping on their backs
-Keep babies’ heads and faces uncovered
-Keep babies in a smoke free environment before and after birth
-Keep babies in a safe sleeping environment night and day
-Breastfeed
-Put babies to sleep in a safe cot in the parents’ room
-Do not swaddle a child once they can roll themselves over

For kids, sleeping may also be the dangerous thing at all. So, parents need to take good care of them at any time.

最好嘅睡眠姿勢 !
一個教授最近做咗一個1000人嘅調查,並分析3種最普遍嘅睡姿對我哋嘅健康有咩影響。

1) 自由落體 (跳傘式)
肚向下躺於床上,雙手抱枕頭,頭轉向一邊,整個人似跳傘姿勢。
健康好處 : 自由落體 (跳傘式) 或任何面向下嘅睡姿都有利消化。
2) 嬰兒式
側睡並捲曲你嘅雙腿及雙手貼近胸口,於呢個1000人嘅調查中有41%嘅人都用呢種睡姿。
睡於左側可能會對你嘅重要器官(肝,胃,肺)造成壓力,所以如果胎兒是您選擇嘅位置,要記住側向右面捲曲,而向右邊則有助血液流出心臟到各個器官。
3) 士兵式 (仰睡)
背部朝下,雙手放兩側,面朝上。
研究表明,仰睡可能會導致打鼻鼾、呼吸困難及影響整夜睡眠。你嘅鼻鼾有冇嘈醒枕邊人?嘗試翻轉訓,你哋都會有覺好訓,仲會起身時更精神。

A professor analyzed the 3 most common sleep positions in a survey conducted with 1000 participants and found that do these positions affect our health.

1) THE FREEFALL
Lying on your stomach with hands up around the pillow and head turned to one side.
Health Benefit : Freefall—or any position in which you’re lying face down—is good for digestion.
2) THE FETUS
Curled up on your side. This is the most common sleeping position, adopted by 41 percent of the 1,000 people who took part in an academic survey.
Health Benefit: Sleeping on your left side can cause stress on your vital organs (liver, stomach, lungs), so if fetus is your position of choice, curl up on the right side of your body. And the curl up on right side could help the blood circulation to each organ of our body.
3) THE SOLDIER
Lying on your back with both arms at your sides.
Health Benefit: Research shows that sleeping on your back may lead to snoring, difficulty breathing, and an overall bad night’s sleep. Is your snoring keeping someone awake at night? Try flipping over—you’ll both wake up more refreshed.

試想象你睡眠後,唔起身超過幾星期會點呢 ? 呢個惡夢發生係一個南佛羅里達州嘅年青人身上,因為佢患上咗一個罕見嘅病。18歲嘅米高肯柏 (譯名) 係一個台拳道黑帶,而且係一個無不良習慣嘅男仔,而呢個病竟然靜靜咁發生。米高指出 :「當病發時,我覺得整個世界不停咁轉,面我嘅思想停止咗一段時間。」然後,當米高去睡眠時,佢就「訓過頭」啦。佢足足睡眠超過兩星期 ! 米高嘅媽媽稱 :「每次佢病發,我行入佢房,都會流眼淚。因為望上去佢好似昏迷咗一樣。」原來經診斷後,米高患上一個病叫咗克莱恩-莱文综合症,又稱睡美人病。主要特徵係嗜睡,患者會連續睡好幾週,甚至係好幾個月,沉睡期間除咗自己醒去進食、喝水之外,任何事都叫不醒他。待這段沉睡期過了之後,患者會不記得這段期間發生的事。

Eighteen-year-old Michael Hamper is a black belt in tae kwon do, a straight-A student and an all-around great kid — but he’s silently struggling. Michael Hamper, 18 years old: “The world keeps spinning, and mine stops pretty much.” When Michael goes to sleep, he doesn’t always wake up. He sleeps for two weeks at a time. Michael’s mom: “Every time he has an episode, I walk into his room and I am in tears. And I just look at him because he lays there like in a coma.” Michael has a rare disease called Kleine-Levin syndrome. The main symptoms of this disease are Narcolepsy and the patient will sleep for few weeks even months. Only when they feel hungry and thirsty and wake themselves, nothing can beat their sleep off. 經常渴睡、難集中精神及記憶力衰退等,都是睡眠窒息症的病徵,而在公立醫院輪候檢查睡眠的時間,長逾一年。中大醫學院研究「家居式」診症,由醫生提供便攜式儀器,讓患者在家中接受診斷,結果發現推行「家居式」診症可大幅縮短近八成輪候時間,並節省醫療成本每人近1.4萬元。

The schedule of booking for sleep test is already exceeded affordable level in public hospital, most of them are needed to wait for more than ONE year. The Chinese University of Hong Kong, Medical Faculty of Medicine studied "Home-Style" consultation of sleep apnea which can be provided portable equipment, so that, patients can stay at home for diagnosis. 睡眠習慣,男女大不同,一直以來都爭論不休。理論上脫光訓覺就冇任何束縛,感覺會更舒坦,對失眠嘅人有一定的安撫作用。只係對床上用品嘅面料和衛生條件要求就要好高。床單被套等至少一周就要換一次。而對於被擁抱住然後進睡,據調查指,其實係一種對安全感嘅需要,從生理層面反映出嚟,並非所有人都有需要。畢竟對於一D怕熱嘅人而言,擁抱進睡反而難以入睡。另外,有時候亦要面對,起身時或會因為睡姿欠佳而導致手腳麻痺。

A lot of women answered, ‘Being hugged and then go to sleep together’, while many men said, ‘Well, clothes free is the most comfortable type !’.
Sleeping habits, men and women are different, has been debated endlessly. Theoretically, clothes free, you cannot feel any restraint and that will be more comfortable. Insomnia would be comfort on this habit. However, the bed products would be required a high level of hygiene. Bed sheets and quilts would be requested to make changes at least once a week. In the opposite, embraced and then go to sleep, according to the survey, is a sense of safety needs which is reflected from the physiological level to the biological level. That does not fit for everyone. After all, people may feel bad for embracing into sleep. It is because some people feel hot when they are being hugged. 成日都聽到浸個熱水浴先瞓會好啲!浸熱水浴除左會令人放鬆之外,
仲可以調節體溫到一個身體進入準備睡眠時嘅狀態。浸熱水浴可以促進睡眠係因為我地嘅核心體溫會上升,當我地離開時體溫會慢慢下降,情況就會好模仿我地昏昏欲睡時所發生嗁自然狀態喇!

A hot bath can promote sleep because our core body temperature rises and then falls when we step out, mimicking what happens naturally when we get drowsy. 咁就可以降低要瞓到中途又要起身去洗手間嘅次數同可能。
