We were very privileged to have had Dr François Taddei, Dr Gaell Mainguy and Dr Mariana Losada visit us yesterday for a dialogue session at our centre in United Square.
Dr Taddei, who is currently serving as the UNESCO Chair of Learning Sciences, is the Director of the Center for Research and Interdisciplinary (CRI), Paris. In addition, Dr Mainguy is the Director of Development and International Relations at CRI and Dr Losada is the Head of the Université Sorbonne Paris Cité Office in Singapore.
During the meeting with our teachers and curriculum teams, Dr Taddei shared his belief that education should empower students as actors of their own learning process. We were very privileged to have Dr. François Taddei visit us today for a dialogue session at our centre in United Square.
As the Director of the Institute for Education through Research in Paris, France, Dr. Taddei has published papers on his research and findings in evolutionary systems biology and its application in education.
He shared with our teachers that students should be the actors of their own learning process, and that educators should not only develop a student's academic abilities, but also nurture the curiosity in each child to help them be effective problem solvers.
We were greatly inspired by what he shared and his passion for education!
